Sempre fui fascinado pelo mar, pela idéia de sair de casa e ter à frente a imensidão do oceano. Vez ou outra, escuto das pessoas que fulano vendeu tudo e partiu para aquela cidade distante em algum ponto da orla nordestina, então de imediato penso no quão sortudo é esse sujeito. E minutos depois me pego desejando força e sorte. Não tenho mais certeza se ainda quero ter essa contemplação do oceano e sua imensidão todos os dias, mas é certo que ainda preciso atravessá-lo, em todos os sentidos muitas vezes.

I’ve always been fascinated by the sea, by the idea of having the immensity of the ocean just outside your door. At times, I hear about somebody who sold everything and left for a distant city somewhere in the northeastern shoreline. Then, I immediately think about how lucky such person is. Minutes later I find myself wishing for courage and luck. I’m not sure anymore, if I still want to gaze at the ocean and its vastness every day, but it’s certain that I still need to navigate it, in all its ways, many times.
